Carmelo Anthony and his fiancee LaLa Vazquez are heading to the land of purple and gold -- because we've learned the soon-to-be married couple just scored a swanky Los Angeles love nest.
Even though the Denver Nuggets superstar and LaLa still hang their hats in Colorado -- we've learned they bought the 6,500 sq. ft. Spanish-style house in L.A. as well because, well, they can.
The house -- valued at nearly $2 million -- has 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, a gorgeous infinity edge pool and a cabana in the back yard.
Apolo Ohno's lower body is so powerful -- dude claims he can leg press 1800 pounds of raw steel ... which is the Hollywood equivalent of 20 Nicole Richies.
For the record, Ohno only weighs about 145 -- without his eight Olympic medals of course.
It took a few weeks, but cops have finally arrested a man they believe snatched a TMZ camera from a TMZ photog (while it was recording) .... and it's all because the perp did the most stereotypical bad guy thing ever -- he returned to the scene of the crime! It all went down at L.A. County Superior Court yesterday, when our cameraman was trying to shoot Kid Rock -- and noticed the suspect walking around the very area where our photog was jacked last month.
Our photog tipped off the cops, who swarmed in and made an arrest -- and of course, our photog recorded the whole thing ... while holding on to his camera this time.
Kate Gosselin will practice her dance moves for "Dancing with the Stars" one flight below her brood -- in the basement.
Kate says she'll be practicing her moves in a newly-converted dance studio in the basement of her home -- so she can be close to her kids. And a source tells us "Dancing with the Stars" is footing the bill for the makeshift studio.
Kate's dancing partner, Tony Dovolani, will go to Kate's home for practice.
Kate, we're told, will only be in L.A. two days a week, for the taping. When she's in La La Land, her kids will stay in PA with a nanny.
Our source says Kate told the "Dancing" folks, she's doing the show "because she's a single mom trying to make money."
The L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) paid a visit to the home of Charlie Sheenand Brooke Mueller last night ... sources tell TMZ.
Our sources tell us the visit was triggered by Pitkin County Department of Social Services -- which has an active investigation following the Christmas Day incident between Charlie and Brooke.
We're told Pitkin -- which services Aspen -- wanted to observe the children but they were in Los Angeles. After some squabbling over whether the kids should come back to Aspen, Pitkin officials contacted DCFS in L.A. and asked them to pay a visit.
Last night's visit was not an emergency -- we're told it's just when DCFS was able to get out and see the kids.
We're also told DCFS will take over the case because the kids are now living in L.A.
Some dude with a pair of brass cojones pulled a classic snatch-and-grab on a TMZ camera Thursday -- and it all went down right in front of an L.A. courthouse!!!
Our camera guy was shooting Dennis Hopper's lawyer when some crook snuck up from behind and yanked the camera right out of our guy's hand while the camera was rolling.
The camera recorded the whole thing as the scumbag went sprinting through a parking lot ... and ultimately ran right into another TMZ cameraman.
The perp panicked and put down the camera but continued to book it down the street on foot until he was long gone.
The whole thing was insane -- but if you recognize ol' Shifty Stickyfingers over there, call the police, stat.
Vinny from "Jersey Shore" is really sorry the Northeast blizzard kept him from a charity event at Yale University -- but fear not Ivy Leaguers, Vinny is still hell-bent on partying with the smart kids.
Vinny was supposed to host the "Kiss Away Cancer Date Auction" today but was grounded in Los Angeles due to the snowstorms ripping up the NE ... so he sent a video message instead.
During the clip, Vinny says he's bummed out that he got "detained" but swears that if the Yalies can raise $4,000, he'll do "whatever it takes" to come out to New Haven and party in the next few months.
Conrad Murray's people just told TMZ they are ticked off that they are caught in the middle of a tug of war between the LAPD and the L.A. County D.A. -- and they will show up in court at 1:30 PM today to surrender ... whether charges are filed or not.
As we first reported, a feud is raging between the LAPD and the D.A. -- the D.A. wants Murray to surrender and the LAPD wants him arrested before coming to court ... on charges of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson.
We reported last night that things were so bad between the two agencies that the D.A. pulled the plug on today's arraignment.
But Miranda Sevcik, the rep for Dr. Murray's lawyer Ed Chernoff, tells TMZ "We are stuck in the middle of something we can't control." Sevcik, who called the feuding "insane," says "Dr. Murray will wait for a call as to where and when he will surrender" and adds if the call doesn't come he will show up anyway at 1:30 PM.
The problem for Dr. Murray -- if the D.A. doesn't file charges this morning, there's nothing to surrender to...
With Britney Spears busy recording -- and wearing ill-fitting dresses in Miami and at the Grammys -- this weekend, Kevin Federline kept himself and his girlfriend occupied by looking after adorable lil Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Sean, Jayden and Britney all seem to thrive when being looked after by their fathers.
An alleged do-gooder has filed a creditor's claim against the MichaelJackson estate, on behalf of the City of Angels.
Jose Freddie Vallejos claims it was illegal for Los Angeles city fathers to underwrite the Michael Jackson memorial last July to the tune of $3.3 million.
Vallejos claims the memorial benefited the estate so the estate should pay the full bill.
He filed the claim as a taxpayer for the City of L.A.
Britney Spears' arm-waving, lip-synched world tour has finally come to an end -- but there was still a circus waiting for her last night when she arrived at LAX.
Brit Brit returned from down undah with an Aussie flag pillow to rest her weave on -- and a sea of paparazzi ready to snap away.
Jermaine Jackson came out swinging at an event at the Magic Johnson theater in L.A. yesterday, claiming the 1993 molestation accusations against his brother were false ... and the suicide of the accuser's dad proves it.
Jermaine -- who spoke at a Michael Jackson charity event -- said the accuser's dad could not live with a guilty conscience and that's why he killed himself. Jermaine also latched onto Internet rumors that the accuser himself said Jackson didn't touch him.
Michael Jackson settled the '93 case by anteing up $20 million.
FYI -- the MJ stuff happens around 2:15 into the clip.
Lady Gaga's rollin' in dough -- in fact, she just threw down more than $1,000 to buy pizza for her fans.
TMZ has learned Gaga ordered 80 cheese pizzas for her minions waiting in line for an album signing outside a Los Angeles Best Buy.
Just a couple hours ago Gaga twittered: "Sending all my little monsters little pizzas for waiting all night for me at best buy. I hope you're hungry...eat up I love u!"
Gaga placed the order through a local Papa John's -- and they confirmed 40 pizzas were delivered at 3pm PST today, and 40 more will be delivered at 6. Altogether, the pop star's bill was over $1,000.
For the record, we're told Gaga tipped "very, very well."
